Supporting Health and Inclusive Education: Empowering Female Students in Parsa

In alignment with our dedication to enhancing quality education, improving health and hygiene standards and supporting marginalized communities under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Bank has partnered with Shree Ne.Ra. Sitaram Mahato Secondary School. Located in Bahudarmai Municipality, Parsa District, this public institution serves a large student population primarily coming from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and marginalized communities, including Dalit, Mushar and Muslim families.

Recognizing that an optimal learning environment depends on both robust sanitation infrastructure and access to essential study materials, the Bank stepped forward to address the school's critical needs. Through this initiative, the Bank sponsored the installation of a modern water purification system to guarantee a sustainable supply of safe and hygienic drinking water, safeguarding students from health complications. Additionally, the Bank provided durable school bags specifically to female students from financially constrained households. This holistic intervention aims to lessen the economic burden on rural families, elevate student dignity, minimize absenteeism and promote equal educational opportunities for young girls.
