Kumari Bank Supports National Disaster Response Efforts Following Rasuwa-Trishuli Flash Flood

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, Kumari Bank Limited extended support to the Ministry of Home Affairs by facilitating the emergency procurement and handover of disaster response and relief equipment following the devastating flash flood in the Rasuwa-Trishuli River corridor.

The support included a range of high-technology drones, including thermal imaging and AI-enabled surveillance drones, capable of conducting aerial reconnaissance, locating stranded individuals, assessing inaccessible areas and supporting search and rescue operations in challenging terrain. The assistance also included fast-charging power banks and generator sets to ensure uninterrupted communication, coordination and emergency response activities in the flood-affected areas.

The equipment was mobilized on an urgent basis to strengthen ongoing government-led rescue, surveillance and relief operations. The advanced drone technology is expected to significantly enhance real-time monitoring, improve situational awareness and support faster decision-making during emergencies. In addition to supporting immediate disaster response efforts, the equipment will contribute to strengthening national disaster preparedness and response capacity for future emergencies.
