Supporting Autism Awareness and Inclusion: Partnering with Avaani Foundation for the Global Summit on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)

As part of our commitment to improving community health and well-being under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Bank has partnered with the Avaani Foundation to support the first-ever Global Summit on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Nepal. Avaani Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a supportive environment for children with autism and developmental challenges through specialized therapy, parental empowerment and professional training.

While ABA is a globally recognized, evidence-based approach that significantly improves behavioral and developmental outcomes, awareness and resources remain limited in Nepal. To help bridge this gap, the Bank extended financial assistance for the first day of the two-day summit held in Kathmandu. This specific session focused on equipping parents, caregivers and professionals, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds and organizations working outside the Kathmandu Valley with vital knowledge, practical skills and capacity-building strategies. Through this initiative, the Bank aims to foster inclusivity, enhance health outcomes and empower families navigating developmental challenges.
