In alignment with our commitment to social inclusion, humanitarian support and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), the Bank has extended its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support to the Nepal Bar Association (NBA). As a registered non-profit organization, the NBA plays a vital role in protecting human rights and ensuring equal access to justice by providing crucial legal assistance and services to poor, needy and marginalized communities.
Following recent public protests that resulted in vandalism and infrastructure damage to the NBA's facilities, the organization faced severe operational constraints that hindered its ability to serve vulnerable populations. To help bridge this gap and restore essential services, the Bank provided financial assistance dedicated to the repair and restoration of the NBA’s core operational facilities. Through this timely intervention, the Bank aims to reinforce institutional continuity, help eliminate barriers to legal aid for disadvantaged citizens and strengthen institutions that champion social justice.
