Strengthening Maternal Health and Local Healthcare: Supporting the Birthing Center at Golbazar Health Post

Driven by our commitment to improving community health, public welfare and maternal healthcare under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Bank has partnered with the government-run Swasthiya Chauki Golbazar (Golbazar Health Post) in Siraha District, Madhesh Province. For nearly two decades, this public health post has served as a vital medical lifeline for the local community, particularly providing essential healthcare access to poor, vulnerable and economically disadvantaged families.

Recognizing that safe delivery facilities and adequate medical infrastructure are critical to maternal and neonatal well-being, the Bank stepped forward to support the health post's birthing center. Through this initiative, the Bank sponsored the procurement of essential medical equipment and healthcare infrastructure, including specialized gynecological delivery beds, medical trolleys and cooling appliances. This healthcare intervention directly improves the quality of care available to expecting mothers, fosters a more hygienic environment and strengthens grassroots medical facilities for underserved populations in the region.
