Restoring Infrastructure in Remote Classrooms: Supporting Shree Sarswati Secondary School in Doti

Deeply rooted in our commitment to advancing education and supporting rural community development under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Bank has extended its support to Shree Sarswati Secondary School. Located in the geographically remote Chudi village of Shikhar Municipality, Doti, this historic institution has been overcoming geographic and economic barriers for decades to provide essential education to underprivileged, marginalized and Dalit children who have limited access to basic amenities.

Recognizing the vital role a safe environment plays in a student’s academic journey, the Bank stepped forward to support the school's urgent infrastructure needs. Through this initiative, the Bank has provided financial assistance for the vital repair and maintenance of the school’s damaged roof. By securing the physical structure of the classrooms, this contribution helps ensure that students can continue their secondary and higher-secondary education in a safe, dry and encouraging learning environment, reinforcing the Bank's mission to empower remote communities through education.
