Fostering Dignity and Education: Supporting Children at Prisoners Assistance Mission (PAM)

In line with our commitment to promoting quality education, humanitarian aid and social inclusion under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Bank has partnered with the Prisoners Assistance Mission (PAM) in Raniban, Kathmandu. Established in 2048 B.S., PAM is a dedicated non-profit organization that provides a safe residential environment, formal schooling and holistic development for children of incarcerated parents, guiding them toward successful social reintegration.

Recognizing that equal access to educational resources is vital for a child's confidence and development, the Bank stepped forward to support the children under PAM's care at the start of their new academic session. Following the introduction of a new institutional dress code at their school, the Bank sponsored essential school uniforms and sportswear for the students. This initiative aims to ensure the children can attend classes comfortably, participate fully in sports and extracurricular activities and pursue their education with a strong sense of dignity, equality and belonging.
