Enhancing Patient Comfort and Healthcare Dignity: Supporting Belaka City Hospital in Udayapur

In alignment with our commitment to improving public health infrastructure and supporting grassroots communities under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Bank has partnered with Belaka Nagar Aspatal (Belaka City Hospital) in Udayapur District, Koshi Province. Upgraded to a basic hospital facility, this vital public institution serves as a healthcare lifeline for tens of thousands of local residents, providing essential emergency, maternity and diagnostic services to families from marginalized and low-income socio-economic backgrounds.

To address the physical infrastructure challenges faced by the hospital during peak hours, the Bank supported the upgrading of its outpatient department (OPD) and birthing center waiting areas. Through this initiative, the Bank sponsored the installation of heavy-duty public seating systems. This intervention is designed to manage patient influxes efficiently while offering a dignified and comfortable waiting experience for senior citizens, recovering patients and pregnant mothers, reinforcing the Bank's dedication to supporting basic health rights and community well-being.
