Bridging the Educational Gap: Enhancing Language Learning in Madhesh Province Government Schools

Driven by our commitment to upgrading quality education and supporting underserved student populations under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Bank has partnered with Maatri Shikshya. Maatri Shikshya is an innovative non-profit educational organization that has developed specialized, curriculum-aligned audio-visual learning solutions designed to enhance language engagement and classroom delivery.

A significant number of students in government schools within Madhesh Province encounter barriers in mastering the national language curriculum due to a lack of engaging and interactive resource tools. To tackle this challenge and level the playing field between public and private education, the Bank extended its support to deploy these modern audio-visual learning systems across secondary grades (Grades 8, 9 and 10). This digital-learning intervention directly empowers teachers and fosters better academic outcomes for students across several key public institutions:

    • Shree Sarvodaya Secondary School – Kanchanrup, Saptari

    • Shree Laxmi Narayan Secondary School – Bairawa, Saptari

    • Shree Shankar Secondary School – Barmajhiya, Saptari

    • Shree Bhuvan Secondary School – Theliya, Saptari
