Advancing Digital Literacy: Supporting Smart Classrooms at Shree Gauri Shankar Secondary School in Bara

In alignment with our commitment to modernizing quality education, fostering academic excellence and closing the digital divide under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Bank has partnered with Shree Gauri Shankar Secondary School (SGSSS). Located in Nijgadh, Bara District, this historical government institution is one of the oldest and most vital educational anchors in the region, serving over 2,000 students from primary levels up to higher secondary streams, including specialized tracks in science and agriculture.

To ensure that students from economically weaker sections, marginalized groups and Dalit communities have equal access to 21st-century learning tools, the Bank stepped forward to support the school’s digital learning transformation. Under this initiative, the Bank sponsored the procurement of advanced audio-visual projection equipment to establish multimedia-enabled smart classrooms. This technological intervention allows educators to deploy interactive teaching methodologies, improves student engagement and empowers underprivileged youths with high-quality digital resources, preparing them for a competitive future.
